Job Summary

This role is ideal for both newly qualified solicitors and experienced practitioners ready to lead complex family cases and mentor junior colleagues.

Your Role

You will manage a varied caseload covering all aspects of family law, including divorce, financial settlements, child arrangements, and domestic abuse matters. You’ll be expected to advise clients during emotionally sensitive situations, prepare legal documentation, represent clients in court, and help them achieve the best possible outcomes. Your contribution will also be key to developing and growing the team, ensuring continued excellence in service delivery.

About You

You’re a qualified solicitor with a genuine passion for family law. Whether you're at the start of your career or a seasoned practitioner, you bring empathy, professionalism, and a client-focused approach to everything you do. You’ll be confident in managing your own caseload, skilled in negotiation and advocacy, and comfortable using legal tech and case management systems. Above all, you’re looking to join a team where you can make a long-term impact.

What You’ll Bring

  • Qualified solicitor with a current practising certificate

  • Strong understanding of family law and court procedures

  • Excellent drafting, advocacy, and negotiation skills

  • Resolution membership (or willingness to join)

  • For NQ to 2 PQE: Training or experience in family law and a willingness to develop under supervision

  • For 3+ PQE: Ability to handle complex cases independently and support junior team members

  • High level of IT literacy and case management experience

  • Professional, empathetic, and client-focused mindset
