Are you an experienced Family Solicitor or Legal Executive looking for a role where you can combine quality casework with team leadership, supervision and business development?

A growing, multi-office law firm is looking for a Family Supervising Solicitor to help lead and develop a busy family law team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is confident managing their own caseload, supporting colleagues and helping grow a successful department.

Job Summary

As Family Supervising Solicitor, you will manage a varied caseload across family and childcare law while supporting the development and supervision of a growing team.

You will work across both private and publicly funded matters, with a focus on delivering excellent client care, maintaining strong professional standards and contributing to the continued growth of the department. This role would suit someone who enjoys autonomy, is commercially aware and is ready to take the next step in their legal career.

Your Role

You will take responsibility for a broad family law caseload, including care proceedings, private children matters, divorce and financial remedy work, domestic abuse matters and general family disputes. Alongside your own caseload, you will help supervise and support colleagues, ensuring work is progressed effectively and high standards are maintained. You will also contribute to networking, client relationships and business development activity, helping the team continue to grow while benefiting from modern systems, administrative support and a collaborative working environment.

About You

You will be a qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with strong family law experience and the confidence to manage cases independently. You will understand legal aid work and ideally have experience generating or managing private paying matters as well. You will be comfortable undertaking advocacy, supporting junior colleagues and working in a target-led environment. A client following would be beneficial, and you may already have or be willing to work towards relevant panel accreditation.
