Are you a Salesforce expert who thrives on keeping complex systems running smoothly while delivering meaningful improvements? Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Salesforce Administrator to join their team on a fully remote, full-time contract basis. This is a hands-on, high-impact engagement where you will play a central role in stabilising their Salesforce Service Cloud environment, delivering a key platform feature, and setting the foundation for long-term operational success.

Job Summary

As Senior Salesforce Administrator, you will take ownership of day-to-day Service Cloud administration while leading the configuration and deployment of a new chat feature and a full knowledge article migration from Contentful into Service Cloud Knowledge. Working within an active implementation programme, you will act as the primary Salesforce resource, ensuring platform stability, supporting the wider team, and delivering a clean handover to a permanent hire at the end of the engagement.

Your Role

In this position, you will manage all core Salesforce administration across the Service Cloud environment, including user setup, permissions, troubleshooting, and configuration updates. You will lead the design and build of the chat feature within Service Cloud, owning requirements sign-off, sandbox configuration, UAT, and go-live. Alongside this, you will manage the full migration of knowledge articles from Contentful into Service Cloud Knowledge, including taxonomy mapping, content categorisation, QA, and cutover. You will also support the technical screening and onboarding of a permanent Salesforce Administrator, ensuring continuity beyond the contract period. Throughout, you will liaise with internal stakeholders and the Clarity implementation team, providing clear guidance and resolving issues within agreed timelines.

About You

You are a senior Salesforce professional with deep hands-on experience in Service Cloud administration and configuration. You are comfortable working independently in a fast-moving environment, managing multiple workstreams without close oversight. You bring a structured, delivery-focused approach and can move fluidly between steady-state admin work and project-based implementation tasks. You communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders and take pride in leaving systems, documentation, and processes in better shape than you found them.

  • Proven experience as a Salesforce Administrator with a strong Service Cloud specialism
  • Salesforce Certified Administrator credential essential; Service Cloud Consultant certification highly desirable
  • Hands-on experience configuring Salesforce Chat or Digital Engagement (Messaging for In-App and Web)
  • Experience managing knowledge base migrations, including taxonomy design and content QA
  • Comfortable supporting or conducting technical screening interviews for Salesforce roles
  • Strong documentation skills, with the ability to produce clear handover and process notes
  • Able to work autonomously in a fully remote setting and manage competing priorities effectively
  • Experience working alongside implementation partners or within active Salesforce programmes is a plus
