Job Summary

As Transport Coordinator, you will act as a key point of contact for a driver network, helping to ensure daily plans are delivered, updates are communicated clearly and operational issues are resolved quickly and professionally.

The role is primarily home based following initial training, with some travel required during the onboarding period.

The role works on a rota basis, including occasional Saturday cover once fully trained.

Your Role

You will coordinate drivers throughout the day, handling calls and messages, providing updates and helping resolve operational issues as they arise. You will need to stay organised in a busy environment where priorities can change quickly and communication is constant. You will update internal systems accurately, liaise with colleagues across the business and ensure any delays, changes or service issues are escalated appropriately. You will also manage driver expectations professionally, which may sometimes involve having direct or challenging conversations to keep work moving.

About You

You will be a confident and practical communicator who can stay calm in a fast-paced operational environment. You will be organised, proactive and able to make sensible decisions when problems arise. Previous experience in transport, logistics, driver coordination, operations or a similar role would be beneficial, although training will be provided. You will be comfortable working independently once trained, while also contributing as part of a wider team.
